The HBO’s award-winning TV series In Treatment is based on the critically acclaimed Israeli smash hit BeTipul. In the drama’s unique day-by-day format, each episode provides a window into the treatment of one patient.
The two series follow a similar formula yet reveal real differences between Israeli and American patterns of behavior, communication, and self-expression. Both series examine the universal flux of human psyche but with flavors unique to each culture.
We’ll watch and discuss excerpts from both shows. No previous experience of either program is required.
